To begin, you'll need to register a fingerprint on your device and then Set up your Android device for PingID authentication.
Fingerprint authentication is simple using a smartphone. Although, authentication varies slightly depending on your device's model, settings, and whether it's locked or unlocked when the authentication request is sent.
Log in to your account or access the application that requires authentication. You'll then see the Authenticating screen, and an authentication notification request will be sent to your device.
If your device is unlocked, you'll be prompted to scan your fingerprint immediately. If your device is locked, unlock your device and you'll then be prompted to authenticate using your fingerprint.
If your notifications are set to show content, the notification request will display on your lock screen. Swipe down on the notification and tap Approve. You'll then be prompted to unlock the device with your fingerprint, and authentication is performed at the same time. If your device is set to hide content, tap the notification to unlock it, and you'll be prompted to authenticate using your fingerprint. If your device is set to Do not show notifications, your device will either beep or vibrate and the screen may light up to indicate a notification has arrived. Unlock your device and you'll be prompted to authenticate using your fingerprint.
Scan your fingerprint when prompted to do so.
You'll now see the green checkmark icon indicating authentication was successful and your access is approved.
