If you are attempting to add additional devices click here
If you are viewing this document offline, please visit KochID.com using a web browser to register. If you have previously registered and would like to add an additional device, please search the Help bar for 'Add Additional Authenticators'.
First, download PingID from the app store on the device you wish to set up.
On the PingID registration page, click 'I already installed the PingID app'. Details of your pairing key and QR code will then be displayed on your web browser.
Once the PingID app is installed, open the app on your device.
The first time you access the PingID mobile app, you'll be asked to accept the terms of service. Please read them then Tap Accept.
You'll also need to allow PingID to access your location and enable push notifications. Tap I Understand and then accept all PingID permission requests when prompted to do so (tap Allow and OK). In the Enable Push Notifications screen, ensure Banners is selected. When complete, tap the 'X' to close the Enable Push Notifications screen.
If you choose not to enable push notifications your method will default to requiring a one time passcode.
Next, from within the PingID app a camera view will open. Point your camera at the QR code on your browser to scan it or tap 'Enter Pairing Key Manually' and enter the pairing key as shown on the registration page.
If successful, you'll see a green checkmark icon and then the Complete Your Profile page will open automatically.
Here you'll enter a nickname for your profile, optionally add a picture, and then tap Done. Your profile picture will appear on the authentication screen when you receive a push notification and indicates that the push notification is legitimate.
You'll see the PingID app screen showing the one-time passcode and your organization name in the organization list.
An authentication request is generated immediately. To complete the pairing process, authenticate using your device
Depending on your device, this may be a swipe or fingerprint. Additionally, if you chose not to enable push notifications on the earlier step, you will not receive a push challenge to authenticate on your phone. In that case, you will need to enter a one time passcode into your browser to complete pairing.
Once you are authenticated, you'll see a green checkmark icon indicating success, and you will be redirected to the company protected browser based service or app that you wanted to access.
